​Masaleydaar® is a selection of small-batch spice blends built from my cookbook, Masaleydaar: Classic Spice Blends (c) Nandita Godbole, 2023.

This line covers a dozen regional Indian spice blends made for the home cook who wants to go past the one jar of garam masala most kitchens settle for. Every blend comes from the cookbook of the same name, and every blend represents a different region, not a generic version of "Indian spice."

Masaleydaar® offers regional blends you won't find in any existing brand on the market. The goal isn't heat. It's range: Indian cuisine as a set of distinct regional traditions, not one flavor profile repeated everywhere.

A few examples: a peppery Puducherry Style Garam Masala from the southeastern coast, good on everything from a stir fry to French toast. A fragrant, sweet Gujarati Daal Masala from the western edge, built for a hearty daal dhokli. A fiery Vidarbha Kala Masala from the heartland of Maharashtra, for a range of proteins. Two versions of Kashmiri Garam Masala, Pandit Style and Vaer Style, from the Himalayas, for robust comfort food. A Rajasthani Garam Masala from the desert state that makes dishes melt in your mouth. A complex Malwani Garam Masala from the coast between Goa and Kerala, built for seafood. A sweet, fragrant Bongali Gorom Moshala that turns a pot of rice into something worth savoring. A delicate Awadhi Garam Masala with a hint of fennel, for dishes that need to feel luxurious. Plus two fan favorites: Goda Masala and Tandoori Masala.

Every batch is small, and every order ships within a week of being made.
