Landscape & Karma
Soaring over this landscape,
As I admire its naked beauty,
I hear laughter, and sighs.
Nay.
It is not my offspring
engaged in entertainment.
But murmurs and muffled sounds,
of spirits from a past life.
They mock me, in giddy cackling.
They are soft whispers,
voices of my Karma.
My Karma of being a gust of wind..
and wishing to be a cloud.
My Karma of being a cloud…
and then wishing to be a bird.
My Karma of being a bird…
and then wishing to be human.
And now being one.
Only to realize that being human
Is nothing but a trap
that keeps me
from being anything or anyone
that is truly free.
